Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data MoreBasket (“MoreBasket”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and what choices you have. It covers the MoreBasket website and merchant dashboard. Each store built on MoreBasket is run by an independent merchant who is the controller of their own customers’ data; we process that data on the merchant’s behalf.
Data we collect
- Merchant account data — name, email, password hash, and the store details you enter (catalog, pages, settings).
- Storefront customer data— when a shopper places an order on a merchant’s store, we store the order, contact, and shipping details on that merchant’s behalf.
- Technical data — server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) used for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.
- Cookies — a session cookie to keep you signed in, and local storage for cart/wishlist state. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To provide and operate the service and the stores you create.
- To authenticate you and keep accounts secure.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
- To respond to support requests and send service notices.
Sub-processors
We rely on these infrastructure providers to run the service:
- Vercel — application hosting and edge network.
- Neon — managed PostgreSQL database.
- Cloudflare — CDN and image storage (R2).
- Formspree — contact-form delivery (contact page only).
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the providers above, to comply with law, or to protect our rights and users.
Retention
Account and store data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes, then deleted or anonymised. Server logs are retained for a limited window.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing. Email privacy@morebasket.com or use the contact page. Storefront shoppers should contact the merchant whose store they purchased from; we will assist that merchant on request.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.
