Send your products to Google and Meta

Use morebasket's product feed to share your catalog with your own Google and Meta accounts: prepare products, copy the feed address and add it to each platform.

The morebasket team ·

morebasket serves a product feed built from your catalog, so you can share your products with Google and Meta without copying them by hand. Copy your feed address, then add it to your own Google and Meta accounts as a data source. The plan list puts the feed on the Pro plan, and you set up the Google and Meta accounts yourself.

What is a product feed?

A product feed is a file that lists your products in a format other platforms can read. It holds details such as names, descriptions, prices and images. Instead of typing your catalog into each platform, you give them the address of the feed and they read it.

In morebasket, the feed is served from your store’s own address, using your store’s products only. It is built to work as a Google Shopping and Meta catalog feed. The plan list on the pricing page places it on Pro.

What do I need before I start?

  • A morebasket store on the plan that includes the feed (the plan list says Pro), with products published.
  • Your own Google account set up for Google Merchant.
  • Your own Meta account with access to Commerce Manager.
  • A few minutes to check each platform’s own rules for product listings.

morebasket does not create or manage those accounts for you. Each platform has its own sign-up, requirements and policies, so read them there.

1. How do I get my catalog ready?

Good feeds start with good products. The feed passes on what is in your catalog, so fix the catalog first.

Check Why it matters
Clear product names Shoppers see these first
Accurate descriptions Wrong details cause returns
Photos on every product Listings without images are weak
Correct prices The feed shares what the catalog says
Variants and options set up Sizes and colors should be tidy

See Products for how to edit each part. If you have many products, import them from a CSV and review them after. For descriptions, use AI to write product descriptions and edit what comes back. For images, see product photos with a phone.

2. How do I find my feed address?

Your store has a product feed address: it is the feed path, /feed/products.xml, on your store’s own web address. If you cannot find or open it, contact us and we will point you to it. Keep the full address somewhere handy, because you will paste it into two places. The address leads to your store’s feed and nowhere else.

Open the address in a browser tab to look at it. You should see a list of your products. If it is empty, check that your products are published and available through the right sales channel.

3. How do I add the feed to Google?

In your Google Merchant account, add a feed and paste the address. Google will read your products from it.

  1. Sign in to your own Google Merchant account.
  2. Look for the section where you add or manage product data.
  3. Choose to add a feed that is fetched from a web address.
  4. Paste your morebasket feed address.
  5. Save, then follow Google’s own steps for checking the data.

Google’s screens change from time to time, so follow its current instructions for the exact buttons. Google decides what it accepts and shows.

4. How do I add the feed to Meta?

In Meta Commerce Manager, add a data source for your catalog and paste the same address.

  1. Sign in to your own Meta account and open Commerce Manager.
  2. Create a catalog, or open the one you already have.
  3. Add a data source and choose a feed fetched from a web address.
  4. Paste your morebasket feed address.
  5. Save and follow Meta’s own steps for reviewing the data.

Again, Meta controls its own rules and screens, so follow what it shows you.

5. How do I keep it current?

Because the feed is built from your catalog, changes you make to products show up the next time the feed is read. You do not edit the feed itself.

A routine that works:

  1. Change the product in your admin.
  2. Let the platforms read the feed on their own schedule.
  3. Check the platform’s data screen if something looks wrong.
  4. Fix the product, not the feed.

If you change a lot, such as prices for a sale, look at the platform data afterwards. Create discounts and promotions explains how sale pricing works in your store.

Which sales channel settings should I check?

Sales channels decide which products are available where. Check that the products you want to share are in the channel your feed reads. See Sales channels for the other ways to sell, including the buy button on your own pages.

The feed is one channel among several. You can also connect your Etsy shop to a store: you sign in to Etsy for that store, push your product listings to Etsy (size and color options are mapped to Etsy’s properties), and Etsy orders arrive in your normal order list. Etsy receipts are checked on a schedule and arrive as orders. TikTok and Pinterest are available as sales channels you add from your admin, next to your storefront and your Google and Meta feed.

Add a channel only when you can serve its shoppers. Each one means another place to keep prices, photos and stock right.

What should I do if something looks wrong?

  • Missing products: check they are published and in the right sales channel.
  • Wrong price or image: fix the product in your admin.
  • Platform warnings: read the platform’s message, since it knows its own rules.
  • Nothing shows at all: check the feed address opens in a browser.

Does this replace SEO work?

No. A feed is one way to put products in front of people, and it sits beside good pages on your own store. For the wider picture, read the ecommerce SEO checklist and how to get found in Google and AI assistants.

Next step

Open your admin, copy your feed address and look at it in a browser. Fix any product with a weak name or missing photo. Then set up your own Google and Meta accounts and add the address to each as a data source.
