This Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) sets out what is and is not allowed when you use the services of MoreBasket Private Limited (“morebasket”, “we”, “us”), including the store builder, back office, storefront, AI features, selling channels and our website (the “Services”). It is part of our Terms of Service. Defined terms have the same meaning as in the Terms.

We want morebasket to be a safe, trustworthy place to build and run a shop. The rules protect your customers, other merchants, the payment, shipping and sales-channel partners we work with, and us. They apply to every Store, every product, every page, every piece of Content and Output, and every person who uses your Account.

1. The basic rule

You must not use the Services, and must not allow anyone else to use them, for anything that is illegal, harmful, deceptive or abusive, or that breaks the terms of the payment providers, sales channels and other Third-Party Services you connect. If you are not sure whether something is allowed, ask us first at admin@morebasket.com.

2. Products and services you may not sell or promote

You must not offer, sell, advertise or facilitate the sale of:

  1. Illegal goods and services, or anything you do not have the legal right to sell where you or your customers are located.
  2. Counterfeit, replica or “inspired by” goods, or goods that infringe trade marks, copyrights, patents, designs or other rights; stolen goods; and unauthorised copies of software, media or digital content.
  3. Weapons and related items: firearms, ammunition and their parts and accessories, explosives, fireworks, weapons designed to cause harm, and instructions for making them, except where the law clearly allows it and your payment provider and every sales channel you use permits it in writing.
  4. Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia, including synthetic or “legal high” substances, and anything marketed as a substitute for a controlled substance.
  5. Adult sexual content or services involving real people, and in all cases any sexual content involving minors, any non-consensual or exploitative content, and anything that sexualises children. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.
  6. Human trafficking, forced labour, endangered species or their parts, and anything made using them.
  7. Hate and violence: products or content that promote violence, terrorism, or hatred of or discrimination against people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics.
  8. Fraudulent and deceptive offers: scams, pyramid and Ponzi schemes, get-rich-quick or “business opportunity” schemes, fake or misleading investment offers, fake documents or credentials, “bait and switch” offers, and anything that deceives customers about what they are buying.
  9. Gambling, lotteries and betting, unless you are properly licensed and have our written approval.
  10. Financial and crypto services: lending, money transmission, currency exchange, securities, unregulated investments and token sales, unless you are licensed and have our written approval.
  11. Personal data: lists of people’s personal information, hacked or leaked data, doxxing material, and surveillance or stalking tools.
  12. Tools to cheat or break the law: malware, hacking tools, exam-cheating services, fake reviews or followers, and tools to bypass security or access controls.

3. Products you may sell only if you are authorised

Some products are legal only with a licence, an age check, a safety certification or special labelling. You may sell them through the Services only where you comply fully with the laws of every place you sell, you hold every licence and certificate required, you give the warnings and age restrictions the law requires, and you have confirmed that every payment provider and sales channel you use allows them. These include:

  • alcohol, tobacco, vaping and nicotine products;
  • medicines, medical devices, supplements and health products, and any health or medical claim;
  • cosmetics, personal-care products and children’s products that need safety or testing documentation;
  • food and drink, where food-safety rules apply;
  • regulated chemicals, pesticides and hazardous materials;
  • cannabis and hemp products (CBD), where lawful, and only where payment providers allow them;
  • products that carry an age restriction, or items for which an export licence is needed; and
  • digital products, memberships and courses, where you must also make sure you have rights to everything you provide.

We and our payment, shipping and sales-channel partners may refuse, restrict or remove any of these at any time. Our partners’ lists of prohibited and restricted businesses (for example those of Stripe and PayPal) also apply to you, and you must follow them.

4. Content rules

Your Content, Output you publish, and everything on your Store must not:

  • infringe or misuse anyone’s intellectual-property, privacy, publicity or other rights;
  • be defamatory, harassing, threatening, bullying or invasive of privacy;
  • contain or link to malware or phishing, or collect people’s information by deception;
  • be false or misleading, including false prices, fake discounts, false scarcity or urgency, false “sold out” or “limited stock” claims, fake endorsements or testimonials, and unsubstantiated health, safety, environmental or performance claims;
  • impersonate a person, brand or organisation, or imply an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist;
  • include fake, bought, incentivised or suppressed reviews, or reviews you wrote about your own products presented as from customers;
  • fail to display the legal information the law requires of a seller (such as your identity, address, prices including tax where required, delivery terms and consumer rights); or
  • break the law of the places where it is shown.

5. Conduct rules

You must not:

  1. Harm or disrupt the Services: probe, scan or test their vulnerability, breach authentication or security, overload or attack them, introduce malware, or interfere with other people’s use, except as our Responsible Disclosure Policy allows.
  2. Misuse access: share logins; use automated means (bots, scrapers or crawlers) to access the Services except through our documented interfaces and within their limits; or use the Services to build a competing product or train a competing model.
  3. Avoid limits and fees: circumvent a limit on products, AI usage or agents, or open multiple accounts to avoid a fee, a limit or a suspension.
  4. Spam: send unsolicited or unlawful marketing messages, or use the Services to send bulk messages in breach of anti-spam and privacy laws.
  5. Process data unlawfully: collect or use personal data from your Customers or others without a lawful basis, the notices and consents the law requires, or in breach of the Data Processing Addendum.
  6. Abuse payments: use your Store to launder money, to test stolen cards, to evade sanctions or taxes, or to process transactions that are not genuine sales of goods or services.
  7. Resell or sublicense the Services except as your Plan expressly allows.
  8. Misrepresent your relationship with us: claim we endorse or are responsible for your business.

6. Rules for AI features

You must also follow the rules in the AI Features and Agents Terms. In particular, you must not use the AI features to:

  • generate, or to ask AI agents to publish, content or carry out actions that this Policy forbids, or that are unlawful;
  • create fake reviews, fake testimonials, deceptive “AI-generated” personas or media that falsely presents real people saying or doing something they did not, or any other deceptive content, including so-called deepfakes of real people without their consent;
  • try to extract, reverse engineer or replicate the models, prompts or safeguards behind them, or deliberately bypass safety and usage controls;
  • give them confidential, regulated or sensitive personal data you have no right or need to share;
  • make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on a person, such as credit, employment or housing, without human review; or
  • process orders or payments through AI agents in ways that avoid the approval controls you have set, or that mislead your Customers about who they are dealing with.

7. What happens if the Policy is broken

7.1. What we may do. We may investigate suspected breaches. Depending on how serious the breach is, whether it is repeated and whether it creates risk for others, we may: warn you; require you to fix something; remove or disable Content or products; limit or suspend a Store, feature or Account; refuse to restore access; terminate your agreement under the Terms; withhold or reverse fees as the Terms allow; and report to the police, regulators, payment providers, sales channels or affected rights holders. We may act immediately, without notice, where there is a risk of serious harm, a legal requirement or a request from an authority or a payment or other Third-Party Service provider.

7.2. Notice and reasons. Where it is lawful and practical, we will tell you what we did and why, and how you may respond. In the European Union, you can also use the complaint and out-of-court dispute-settlement routes described in the Digital Services Act where it applies.

7.3. Reviewing our decisions. If you think we made a mistake, write to admin@morebasket.com within 30 days of our notice, explain why, and give any evidence. A person who was not involved in the first decision will review it, and we will reply with our decision and our reasons.

7.4. No obligation to monitor. We do not generally monitor Content in advance and are not responsible for what you or others publish through the Services, but we may review and act on it where we have reason to.

8. Reporting a problem

To report a Store, product or piece of Content that breaks this Policy, or is illegal, write to admin@morebasket.com with the web address, a description of the problem, and your name and contact details. For alleged copyright or trade-mark infringement, use the process in our Copyright and IP Complaints Policy. For a security vulnerability, use our Responsible Disclosure Policy. For anything involving a child’s safety, tell us immediately, and also contact your local police or the relevant national hotline.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the law, in our Services or in the requirements of our partners. We will post the new version with a new effective date and, for material changes, give notice as the Terms describe.
