This Cookie Policy explains how MoreBasket Private Limited (“morebasket”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.morebasket.com (the “Website”). It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal data more generally.

1. What these technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Similar technologies include your browser’s local storage and session storage, pixels, and scripts that read or write information on your device. We call all of them “cookies” in this policy unless we say otherwise. Cookies can be “first-party” (set by us) or “third-party” (set by another company whose tool we use), and “session” (deleted when you close the browser) or “persistent” (kept for a set time).

2. How we use them, and your choice

We group cookies in two ways.

• Strictly necessary and functional cookies make the Website work and remember choices you make, such as your cookie choice, language or country. We use them without asking, because the Website cannot work properly without them, or because you asked for the feature. They do not track you across other sites.
• Analytics cookies help us understand how the Website is used so we can improve it. We use these only if you accept them in our cookie banner. We do not use advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking cookies.

You will see the cookie banner on your first visit. You can accept or decline analytics, and you can change your mind at any time by choosing “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal, we treat it as a decision to decline analytics.

Declining analytics does not stop you from using the Website. Before you accept, Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode that sends basic, cookieless measurements (such as the page viewed) without setting analytics cookies or identifying you across visits; PostHog stays fully off.

3.3 Tools that do not use cookies

We also use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count visits and measure page speed. They do not use cookies or store anything on your device, and they do not track you across sites.

4. Information collected by these tools

Analytics tools may collect your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you visit, how long you stay, what you click, and your approximate country. We use this to understand and improve the Website. We do not use it to identify you personally unless you give us your identity, for example by joining the waiting list, in which case we may link the two as our Privacy Policy describes. Google and PostHog act as our service providers and may not use this data for their own advertising purposes.

5. How to control cookies

• In our banner: use “Cookie settings” in the footer to accept or decline analytics at any time.
• In your browser: most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies and local storage in their settings. If you block everything, some parts of the Website, such as remembering your language, may not work.
• For Google Analytics: you can install Google’s browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics on all sites (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
• Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: switch these on in your browser, or install a browser or extension that sends them, and we will treat them as a decline of analytics.

6. Cookies on stores built with morebasket

This policy covers our own Website. Stores built with morebasket are run by their owners, who decide what cookies their stores use and are responsible for telling their visitors and getting any consent the law requires.

7. Changes

We may change this policy when we change the tools we use or the law changes. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. If we add a new analytics tool, we will ask for your consent again where the law requires.
